Tips To Getting Perfect Eyelashes
Eyelashes are very helpful in protecting the delicate eye from dirt and germs. However, when not given proper care, the lashes can harbor harmful bacteria. Improper care can also cause eye infections and irritations. Damaged or infected lashes may weaken, break or fall off depending on the underlying beauty tips and care. Too thin or too short eyelashes may not be the desired results; try these tips instead.
Luckily, there are many tips to achieve lash envy:
1. Condition eyelashes
It is mandatory never to sleep with any make-up on, as it clogs skin pores. The case is no different for mascara, clean off all mascara on the eyelashes before bed. In addition to cleaning, also condition the eyelashes using a clean wand. Conditioning of eyelashes can be achieved by applying Vaseline, baby oil, or moisturizer overnight. Conditioning softens the lashes and allows smooth mascara application.
2. Curl your lashes
To achieve perfect, long, fluttery lashes, use an eyelash curler to slowly squeeze the base of the lashes. Curling of eyelashes should take place before applying mascara in order not to damage the mascara.
3. Prime the lashes
Priming eyelashes is a way of moisturizing them when dry. Eyelash primer ensures that mascara stays on longer. However, for proper results and prevent dilution of color, it is advisable to wait 15-30 seconds before applying mascara.
4. Use lengthening mascara
There are a couple of options for achieving lengthy eyelashes from long fake eyelashes to lengthening mascaras. The choice of length of your mascara depends on the user. However, once at hand, it is easy to achieve long, fluttery eyelashes.
5. Blot the wand
During mascara application, swirl the wand in the tube to achieve full bristle accumulation of mascara. A full bristle ensures smooth mascara application. For excess mascara on the wand, bristles scrape off the sides along the edges of the mascara container. In case of trouble with clumpy mascara, gently heat the side of the tube with a blow dryer. Also dip in a container with warm water, or add several drops of contact solution.
6. Choose mascara wisely
The choice of mascara determines the desired results and the effects it could cause to the eyes. The application of good quality mascara takes two or three layers. The base coat application is then followed by one or two more layers of mascara for better results. When applying, it is necessary to alternate between the right and left eyes for an even look. Apply from the base towards the ends.
7. What to avoid when caring for eyelashes
It is necessary to always care for eyelashes; it prevents infections and achieves a great look. Having avoided sleeping with make-up, it is also necessary not to rub eyes. Rubbing eyes may cause mascara to get into the eye leading to irritations. Improper use of curling equipment, wands, and fake eyelashes, may cause discomfort in the eyes or eyelashes.
8. Use proper hygiene
Proper hygiene should also be maintained when handling the eyes, and always cleaning the wands, and make-up brushes weekly. The use of old or expired mascara is not suitable for the eyes. Discard mascara after two or three months. Mascara is moist and a perfect place for the growth of bacteria. Other practices to avoid include sharing artificial eyebrows, wands, or mascara with anybody else as it could transfer eye infections.
